Day 40:

Another snow day! Also breaking temperature records. High around 20 and tonight a low of 9; with high winds making it feel below zero. What better dinner than my special Potato Cheese Soup! Paired with a ham panini, we're at least warm on the inside!

Day 39:

After dinner I realized I hadn't taken a picture yet today. I told Max, hey smile for me and this is what he did. I love you too, Max!

Day 38:

Today was a teacher work day, so no school for the kids. We spent most of the day at the table, doing homework they've been putting off, making a birthday card for grandma, some other crafty stuff, and a poster for the 100th day of school. Good day, just spending time with the boys and their laughter.

Day 36:

Today is Saturday. I've only left the house once since Tuesday and the kids haven't left at all. Cabin fever, even for homebody Max. I wanted to take them to dinner but since Ivan's been working all week and hasn't been iced in, he was enjoying being home. He suggested we go, and make it a mother/son dinner date. We went and had so much fun. Max did too, I promise, but was so tired by the time we got home he didn't want any stinkin pictures.

Day 35:

4th day in a row school was cancelled! The last storm's remnants were still causing trouble when another storm moved in. We woke up to about 4 inches of new snow. So dang pretty! It snowed all day until about 3.

Day 34:

Another day off school, and this why. Roads are still layered with ice. And with highs around 20 it wasn't going anywhere.

Day 33:

This is Day 2 that the kids are out of school. We're experiencing rolling blackouts, meaning no tv and video games to rot their brains. They're having to get creative to fight the boredom. Twister is always a good time!

Day 32:

Snow day! More like ice day, since the inch thick layer of it on the roads was more the reason for cancellations. Bitter cold today too, wind chills in the minus degrees!

Poor Tanner can't go a week without seeing a doctor. This is his rash after having a reaction to amoxicillin.
