Snow in Texas! Huge flakes fell and created a scene from a Christmas card. This is my house at dusk. I didn't change the color, contrast or anything else about this picture, it's straight from the camera. It looks magical!

I love birds, and hawks are just awesome. We saw this one on the way to school this morning, we stopped in the street and watched it for a few minutes. I love that they have cute little faces but could tear your eyeballs out. ;)

Happy New Year!
We had a great NYDay dinner, Mexican food! Green chile casserole and red chili casserole, beans, homemade refried beans, homemade Spanish rice, tamales and fideo. Followed by cobblers- a peach and an apricot. And for the grand finale, homemade ice cream; a vanilla and a mixed berry. Frozen with snow brought with us from Luna!
I was too excited about eating to remember a picture before we dug in. ;)
